While the world was taken by storm by Danny Boyle's 'Slumdog Millionaire', it would've been easy to miss out on other great movies released in 2008. We particularly enjoyed the British heist flick 'The Bank Job' based on a true story!
You know a one man army movie when you see one because on the poster a) the dude is walking towards you angrily, b) the dude is chilling sitting with a gun in the dark just thinking about how awesome it will be to shoot you, or c) the dude is actually point a gun at you. All movies post 2000.
Modern thrillers in the vein of 'Taken': flicks that feature phone calls nobody ever wants to receive, deals nobody ever wants to make, and floors nobody ever wants to sleep on! Don't believe it's a great list? We'll send you a finger in the mail just to prove we're serious.
A man with a very particular set of skills, and a host of great starring roles, including the 'Taken' trilogy, 'A Walk Among the Tombstones', and his lesser known part in 'Rob Roy' (although of course we'll always remember him best as Qui-Gon)!
Angry people with guns, lists, and red pens make up the protagonists up this collection. Is the killing of killers justified? Our answer is a bit like our attitude towards the NSA. Just don't do something wrong and you'll have nothing to worry about!
A special niche of revenge movie involving fathers/ husbands with 'specific sets of skills', out for blood after baddies mess with their families. Of all the daughters in the world, you had to pick theirs. Nice one bud.
Modern movies in the vein of the Bourne trilogy: from MI6 to CIA, FBI to DEA, this list features the best of contemporary ass-kicking agents as they teach terrorists their place. Our question: when are they going to make a movie about a tough-nut NSA agent who can monitor conversations like no other?
